Description
The JFS Gramercy Place Family Shelter is a two year residential program with supportive services for homeless families. It is located on a residential street in themid-Wilshire area, close to bus transportation and other amenities. Gramercy specializes in families with children, including single parent mothers and fathers, as well as two parent families. The Shelter also welcomes teenagers, both male and female.
The program is designed to help families break the cycle of homelessness and move toward permanent housing. Subsidized food and clothing are provided along with childcare, advocacy, tutoring, case management and therapy and an array of other services. Help in finding permanent housing solutions is also provided.
Resident families must be referred by a social worker, benefits worker, church or synagogue or third party referral source. We do not accept self-referrals.
