Mission Statement

We provide children, age 4 and older, and adults with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities a program of individualized equestrian instruction in a safe and supportive eco-friendly environment.

Description

We are a non-profit, therapeutic riding center located on 27 acres of preserved farmland. Facilities include a large indoor and outdoor arena and sensory trails. In addition to our fabulous horses and ponies, there are other animals typically found on a farm.

Private and group horseback riding lessons and horsemanship skills training are offered by our NARHA certified instructors.

Horses and ponies are carefully chosen for their calm attitude, temperament, manners and adaptability.

Our lesson volunteers attend special workshops to learn safety around horses, horse behavior, grooming and tacking, leading and side walking and mounting and dismounting techniques.

I am addressing the comment of Christine A who obviously did not read what we do. We provide horseback riding lessons to children and adults with special needs, and as a charitable non profit, are dependent upon the generosity of others for volunteering in lessons with children, some of whom cannot walk or talk. We are not a rescue or foster organization so I am wondering if she is confusing us with another organization. Our volunteers make a huge difference in the lives of our riders.
