Mission Statement

The mission of the Florida Center for the Blind, Inc. is to facilitate the complete integration of blind and viually impaired people into society on a basis of equality. The specific and primary purpose of the Center is to develop and administer pograms for people who are either totally or legally blind. The Center is focused on the rehabilitation and assistance to those as they adjust to their environment. The Center is committed to a positive and progressive philosophy about blindness. Our focus is on rehabilitation, or the learning of new methods or techniques to accomplish the same tasks that are accomplished with vision.

Description

The Florida Center for the Blind volunteers are a dedicated group of people.

They offer their services freely and compassionately in all that they do here at the Center.

The rewards are great in just knowing that they have helped make someones life more productive and meaningful with their training, their knowledge and their support.
