Description
Throughout the Greater New York Division (All five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, and Sullivan Counties), Emergency Disaster Services is an integral part of the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army, and a manifestation of Christ's compassion to those in need.
As a faith-based organization, The Salvation Army seeks to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort to those affected by disaster, without discrimination. Emergency Disaster Services volunteers and staff seek to do the most good when life presents its worst.
