Mission Statement

RefugeeOne creates opportunity for refugees fleeing war, terror, and persecution to build new lives of safety, dignity, and self-reliance.

Since 1982, RefugeeOne has resettled over 17,000 refugees from every major world crisis. RefugeeOne helps these refugees secure housing, learn English, find jobs, acclimate to American culture, obtain medical care, enroll their children in school, and apply for citizenship. Our ultimate goal is to help refugee families become self-reliant in as little as 6-12 months. With a staff of 42 people - most of whom are refugees and immigrants themselves - RefugeeOne provides quality, culturally- and linguistically-appropriate services to refugees at no cost. It's for a good cause and we need to provide help for the refugees that need assistance transitioning.
