Mission Statement

The Boxing Club at OSU's mission statement based is on the mind, body and spirit. In their pursuit to physical excellence, OSU boxers cannot afford to take part in substance abuse activities that would inhibit them physically. Those involved are proven to have higher grades and leave their college with a positive view of their college years. Lastly those who are involved in boxing have a greater respect of themselves and others which promotes the OSU ideology of respect and diversity.

Description

As mentioned in the mission statement, The Boxing Club at OSU will promote academics, respect of oneself and other, and physical excellence. The club is open to all in order to allow faculty, staff and students to try boxing for physical fitness or competition. The goal of the club is to put together a team to compete in the National Boxing Collegiate Association. Plus, Michigan has a boxing team and it is another arena for OSU to dominate them in.
