Mission Statement

Through the vision of the county Administrator to make county services more accessible to our customers, our organization has been enhanced over the past several years The Health and Human Services Business Center is a unique organization that now links the health services provided by the Sarasota County Health Department (SCHD), a state/county partnership, with two county programs, Human Services and Mosquito Management Services. This approach takes advantage of the long-standing collaborative relationship between the County and the Florida Department of Health to provide services to citizens of the county.

Mission To collaborate with community partners to promote and assure high quality, accessible health and human services for Sarasota County residents.

Vision A healthy and safe community where individuals can thrive and prosper.

Focus Build community partnerships, ensure financial sustainability, value employees as a critical resource, increase customer and community awareness and service, and enhance public health prevention and response capacity.

I started volunteering with the Sarasota County Health Department in June 2010. Everyone I met there was very nice and appreciated my volunteer time.
