HERE Now provides services to all school districts in North County San Diego utilizing the SOS Signs of Suicide Prevention program curriculum, which uses a video that features stories from teens whose lives have been affected by depression and suicide. Key Responsibilities Prepare individual surveys for each student (about 600,per school) participating in the program Assist program staff in facilitating classroom presentations by helping discuss the curriculum, distributing materials and collecting required paperwork and Response Cards Assist staff in scheduling and facilitating individual student assessments Keeping track of student demographics and reporting outcomes of presentations Desired Attributes: Must have clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task Must be comfortable in office and classroom settings Ability to speak comfortably about the many facets of suicide Must have reliable transportation Time Commitment: Must be available on Mondays or Tuesdays during business hours 4-6 hours per week preferred Administrative tasks will either take place in our Oceanside office (3142 Vista Way, Ste. 400, Oceanside 92056) or on-site at a school Security Checks Required: TB Test, Drug Screening, Live Scan Background Check, Driving Record, and COVID-19 vaccine COVID-19 UPDATE: masks/face coverings required onsite (regardless of vaccination status), social distancing enforced, vaccine required

Key Responsibilities: Arriving promptly at 7:30am every Tuesday to meet supervisor at The Drop- in Center at North County Lifelines Vista Campus. Supervisor will leave at 7:30am providing transportation for Volunteer to local grocery store. Assisting supervisor shop for large quantity of groceries to feed LifeSpring clients for the week. Loading and unloading groceries from car. Dividing groceries for each family. Being cautious and mindful of food allergies, by making sure each families food has been bagged accurately. Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Position Title: RESPECT Project Math and/or English Tutor Purpose: The position of RESPECT Project Math and English Tutor supports the San Diego County Sheriff’s RESECT Project. The RESPECT Project is a character-building and mentoring program designed for youth in grades 8-12. The program’s mission is to produce positive relationships between law enforcement and youth to forge safer homes, school and communities. Worksite: RESPECT Project is located in San Marcos, CA.
