Mission Statement

As a program of Beatitudes Center DOAR, our mission is to provide the services and support that enables homebound adults to remain living independently in their homes, and to provide relief to family caregivers. We also provide volunteer opportunities for people to make meaningful contributions to the quality of life in their communities.

Beatitudes Center DOAR is a non-profit interfaith agency providing support and assistance to older persons, adults with physical disabilities and family caregivers.

Description

Beatitudes Center DOAR has 4 inovative programs. Generations offers support to family caregivers, Project GrandCare supports grandparents raisng grandchildren, Nurse and Health Ministries Network supports faith communities offering health programs and VICaP Faith in Action offers volunteer services to homebound adults.

VICaP Faith in Action's goals are to provide volunteer opportunities for people to make meaningful contributions to the quality of life in their communities and to enable homebound and/or disabled adults to continue living independently. Services offered include grocery shopping assistance, transportation to medical appointments, friendly visiting, business help, handyperson and computer assistance. Because of the flexibility of this program, it is a great opportunity for working people and for families to help others. You will make a difference!!
