Mission Statement
The Fairfax County Office of Partnerships (OOP) creates and develops public/private partnerships to stimuate positive change int he comomunity and encourage civic involvmenet and responsibility. The OOP brings together represenatives and resources from all sectors of othe community to address the many challenges faced by underserved families living in Fairfax County. County Government possesses the adminstrative expertise and credibilitly which make it uniquely sutied to guide such collaborations. THis ppoling of public and private sector resources has an effectiveness which surpasses government or private institutions actring alone. IN a spirit of mutual respect, members of each partnership design their response to community needs int he areas of: health, education, technolgoy and community building.

!. Adopt-A-Family: provides clothing, gifts, and toys to the families of the working poor. 2. Allied Health: Sponsors the payment of tuition and books to assist underseved residents to puruse careers in medical systems disciplines. 3. Computer Learning Centers Partnership: Provides high tech resources for children who otherwise would not have access to current technology. There are currently 12 Centers that provide use of computers, software and printers, training, homework tutorial and enrichment activities to school-age children. 4. Medical Care for Children Partnership: Provides comprehensive medical and dental care to nearly 7,000 unisured children in Fairfax County.
