Our Mission The YMCA of Snohomish County is composed of people of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and religious affiliations united in sharing the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility through programs that build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Purpose To enable and enspire indiviuals and families to live a more enriched, healthy and purposeful life who together will build a stronger and more connected community.
Description
The YMCA of Snohomish County, organized in 1899 and incorporated in 1901, is today recognized as the largest child care provider and not-for-profit human service agency in Snohomish County.
Since 1901, the YMCA of Snohomish County has involved top community leaders and highly-trained professional staff to provide hundreds of different programs for people of all ages, especially children, youth and families. Each YMCA facility is a hub in the community providing safe environments, caring role models, and meaningful, productive activities. Today more than 64,000 people of all ages, races, faiths and economic backgrounds participate annually in activities at our six branch operations: Everett, Marysville, Mill Creek, Mukilteo, Monroe and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
