The Seasoned Performers

Description

The Seasoned Performers is a nonprofit company that celebrates the contributions of older actors by producing original material, providing performance opportunities for older adults, and bringing live theatre to special and often underserved audiences with transgenerational enrichment. For 27 years TSP has given an outlet to vibrant seniors who want to continue contributing to the community while projecting a positive view of aging; to reach urban, rural, suburban, and underserved populations with live theatre.

This non profit company relies on community and corporate support, grants, foundation support, and performance fees. This support allows the company to offer services to over 120,000 people over the last 27 years (and over 7,000 each year), touching 16 counties annually, and touring across Alabama more than any other arts group in the state. TSP's programs DO NOT duplicate those of any other arts group in the state.

Original plays and readings yearly enhance lives at over 130 different retirement facilities, schools, churches, libraries, and community centers, plus we also reach the general public through many venues.
