The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), the nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society, supports evidence-based policy and legislative solutions designed to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. ACS CAN works to encourage elected officials and candidates to make cancer a top national priority. ACS CAN gives ordinary people extraordinary power to fight cancer with the training and tools they need to make their voices heard.

ACS CAN is leading a nationwide grassroots movement that advances the cancer community's interests at all levels of government. ACS CAN's determined advocates put a face on cancer and work to ensure that the eleven million survivors of this dreaded disease are seen and heard by lawmakers and elected officials. Many of the most important decisions about cancer are made outside of your doctor's office. Instead, they are made by your state legislature, in Congress and in the White House. ACS CAN empowers regular people to be part of the growing national movement that is fighting back against cancer.
