Mission Statement

Improve the literacy skills of low- to moderate-income and/or at-risk minority middle school students in Howard County, Maryland; engage Howard County youth in leadership roles with middle school students; and develop middle school students to be literacy mentors to young children.

Description

By helping students significantly improve their literacy skills and grades in reading, this project addresses one of the current needs of middle school students in Howard County Maryland, specifically those at-risk children and/or those from low- to moderate-income households and working families.
