In response to God's blessing and direction, we at Light House Ministries have as our mission the provision of physical sustenance, shelter, and spiritual guidance to those in need.

Light House Ministries is a non-denominational Christian shelter. If was founded in 1985 and serves both Accomack and Northampton counties, Virginia. Light House Ministries assists men, women, and families.

Light House Ministries operates as a temporary shelter for the homeless; this includes but not limited to, homeless victims due to homes lost in fire, those evicted, others recovering from substance abuse, transients, temporary unemployed, mentally challenged, etc. Light House Ministries helps individuals who come to the shelter to attain a better way of life. This is often accomplished by goal oriented programs suited for the individual.
