Mission Statement

Enlace Comunitario is a social justice organization led by Latina immigrants in Central New Mexico. Our mission is to work to eliminate domestic violence in the Latino immigrant community and to promote healthy families through: comprehensive domestic violence intervention services in Spanish, preventative community education, policy advocacy and leadership development.

Description

Enlace Comunitario is a non-profit in Albuquerque, New Mexico that advocates to impact public policy and systemic change on issues related to domestic violence. Our efforts benefit the entire community by bringing awareness about the magnitude of the problem, engaging the community in a process to find ways to eliminate domestic violence and its root causes and in formulating policies that enhance the rights of immigrant victims ofdomestic violence regardles of immigration status. We are feminists who advocate for immigrants' rights. We offer free confidential services such as: crisis intervention, case management, counseling, legal issues, life skills classes, parenting classes. We also have a Promotoras program and a Youth Leadership program.
