Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
We provide care to people who are living and dying with AIDS and other life-treatening illness. We provide support to their loved ones in ways that honor privacy, dignity, and diversity. Our team of staff and volunteers provides a full spectrum of compassionate, high-quality care and service, ranging from complex treatment to comfort measures based on residentsâ physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs. Care decisions are reached by residents and their care team in a process which considers resident choice, appropriateness, and effective use of resources.
Two programs are available at Bailey-Boushay House: Adult Day Health (ADH) and the Residential Care Program (RCP). ADH provides care to individuals living with HIV and AIDS who are still living independently in the community. From 8:00 am to 4:00 pm seven days a week nursing care, counseling, food service and social / recreational activities are made available to approximately 120 clients. RCP is a 35 bed residential care facility. It provides 24 hour skilled nursing care to patients who are no longer able to live independently.
