Mission Statement

Our primary mission is to connect communities to the prisons in an effort to reduce the recidivism rate of prisoners and thereby effect a consequent reduction in crime in Texas. The primary focus is on "victim impact" programs, which connect victims to offenders. Bridges To Life empowers victims and rehabilitates prisoners.

Description

Bridges To Life works in conjunction with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Victim Services and Chaplaincy Division in the prisons in Texas. Bridges To Life ministers to prisoner and victims in an effort to show them the transforming power of God's love an forgiveness. Each program is 12 weeks in length and 85% of the program is conducted in a small group setting. A small group consists of a facilitator, co-facilitator, two crime victims, and 5 inmates. Bridges To Life is leading the way in the faith-based, restorative justice movement.
