Mission Statement

Montgomery Housing Partnership's mission is to preserve and expand quality affordable housing in Montgomery County. We advance our mission directly or through our subsidiaries using three key strategies:

Acquire, rehabilitate, build and manage quality affordable housing.

Develop and implement community life programs to improve the quality of life and increase opportunities for our residents.

Enhance the vitality of neighborhoods in which affordable housing is located by collaborating with concerned citizens, businesses, public officials and community organizations.

Description

MHP is a private, 501(c)(3) that develops, builds and renovates affordable rental housing, and provides educational programs to residents. Formed in 1989, it is the largest nonprofit housing developer in Montgomery County, MD. It has developed more than 1,160 units of affordable apartments, condos and townhomes.

MHP is based in Silver Spring, Maryland. It is a chartered member of NeighborWorks America.
