Mission Statement

The mission of the Renton History Museum (RHM) is to preserve, document, and educate about the history of greater Renton in ways that engage diverse people of all ages.

Description

The Renton History Museum is a community center for sharing and learning about the unique history of Renton, WA. The Renton History Museum offers permanent and changing exhibits relating to local history, arts, and natural history. We also offer programs, publications, access to a small research library, and care of a collection of 19,000+ historic photos and objects. As a small museum with limited financial and staff resources, we rely on the service of our dedicated volunteer corps to continue offering quality exhibits and programs to the public. We are committed to the practice of anti-racism and celebrating the diversity of the people of Renton.

Tried years ago. Two words to describe my experience: Meh and/or okay. Difficult to even get let in to volunteer in addition to volunteering for what you apply for. No training. Figure it out your self. No coordination between any of the volunteers.
