Mission Statement

The Owen County Humane Society is dedicated to the humane treatment for all animals, to provide a facility where all adoptable, healthy, or treatable animals can receive care until permanent homes are found, and to reject the use of euthanasia as pet overpopulation control.

Description

*To provide shelter and humane treatment to lost, homeless, or abandoned animals.
*To facilitate adoption of animals into permanent homes.
*To promote the humane treatment of animals and responsible pet ownership through education and community involvement.
*To Promote and support spaying or neutering of pets as overpopulation control.

Our staff works very hard to take care of the animals. They care about them and treat them like their own. Our animals are happy and friendly. We would love to have more people come out to volunteer!!
