Lend A Hand has been serving children and adults with disabilities since 2004. Participates in our program are those afflicted with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, muscle weakness, speech impairments, learning disabilities, dyslexia, attention deficit disorders, down syndrome, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, sensory integration issues, mentally challenged conditions, and more. For these individuals, equine therapy offers many benefits. Students experience improvements in balance, posture, flexibility, motor skill development, coordination, strength, muscle tone and most importantly, self confidence and much needed self-esteem. We see children who have improved their physical, cognitive, social and emotional well-being by learning to ride in our program. Our program directors, therapists, riding instructors, & volunteers at Lend A Hand instill a great sense of success, confidence and accomplishment in all our students. For these riders, the rewards can be priceless!
