Mission Statement

eARN (SF Earned Assets Resource Network) is a collaborative effort involving individuals and organizations from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors all working to empower people of low-income to accumulate wealth and change their economic futures through the use of Individual Development Accounts (IDAs). Coordinating the efforts of a diverse group of partners, eARN hopes to extend IDA opportunities to people all over San Francisco.

Description

Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) are matched savings accounts that provide a means for people to save towards positive asset goals: homeownership, microenterprise, and post-secondary education/job training. Supplementing IDAs with money management classes, financial workshops, and asset-specific training, eARN promotes economic self-sufficiency and community development.
