Mission Statement

St Paul Evangelical Food Pantry is a food pantry whose mission is:

  • To provide healthful, wholesome food to people in need and
  • To provide our services in ways that build community while enhancing the dignity, respect, and self-care of all involved.

Our Vision:

  • We envision a community in which everyone has equal access to nutritious food, waste is minimized, and all members are healthy, self-sufficient, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Description

We are open twice a week on Tuesday evenings and Thursday afternoons to anyone in need of food. We do not have any geographical limits so people come from all around the Chicagoland area. We are an open choice pantry which means that our clients are able to go through the pantry and pick out the items they want and choose based on their families specific needs. We also have an additional room where they are able to choose bread, dairy, produce, and other perishable items in addition to the stable items in the regular pantry. We strive to provide a safe place for our clients to come where they feel comfortable and their dignity is preserved.
