Mission Statement

Our mission is to Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Release as many Wild Birds as possible.

Description

We are a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization and we rescue, rehabilitate and release as many wild birds as possible. We are located inside a 8 acre indigenous park which is a sanctuary for wild birds and other creatures such as butterflies, turtles and iguana's. We also have a large aviary with a collection of permanently injured wild birds that cannot be released back to the wild. They serve as education ambassadors to help teach the public about the local wild birds as well as how to prevent injuring wildlife. These birds range from a Great White Heron, to Vultures, to and Osprey and many more. We are both a tourist attraction and educational destination. The center often has field trips come to the park to learn about our mission and what they can do to be kinder to our feathered friends. The Key West Willdlife center receives over 1000 wild birds annual for treatment. We do our best to release as many birds as possible.
