Mission Statement

Identify the needs of youth and their families and to act as referral agency linking young people and their families to appropriate services. the agency seeks to increase public awareness of recreational, educational, and mental health opportunities.

Description

K.A.P. is an acronym that stands for the Kids' After-School Program. It is an free after-school program that currently serves 4th, 5th and 6th grade students that attend school in Colonial Heights, VA. Each participant is provided with tutoring, mentoring, recreactional and service learning opportunites throughout the school year.

The program operates Monday-Thursday unless otherwise stated in the monthly calendar.

Students meet at the following locations: Tussing Elementary, North Elementary, and Lakeview Elementary 3:00-5:30 P.M. Monday-Thursday when school is in session. There is also a site at Colonial Heights Middle School operating from 2:30-5:00pm.
