Food distribution volunteers pack food into bags, stock shelves, check clients in, and load client cars. Ability to work outdoors, bend, crouch, stand for extended periods of time, and lift at least 10lbs required. Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese welcome! Times: Monday - 9 AM-12 PM (stocking shelves) Tuesday - Thursday 8:15 AM - 12 PM Volunteers in this position are required to pass a background check and take a 3 hour class called VIRTUS. VIRTUS teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect as well as the best practices Catholic Charities follows to protect youth and vulnerable adults in our ministries.

Adult Day Services provides an affordable, quality day program that helps seniors and adults with disabilities maintain independence in the community. Volunteers will assist staff with serving meals and cleanup. Volunteers in this position are required to pass a background check, drug screening, 2-step TB test and take a 3 hour class called VIRTUS. VIRTUS teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect as well as the best practices Catholic Charities follows to protect youth and vulnerable adults in our ministries. Times: Weekly; Tuesdays, Thursdays or Friday; 8 AM - 10 AM or 11 AM - 1 PM.

The Development volunteer will assist the Development department of Catholic Charities with the in-kind donation process and donation drives. This position is flexible; weekly or every other week (year-round) commitment is highly encouraged. Interviews will be conducted for this volunteer position. Duties can be completed in the Catholic Charities office or from home. Basic duties include: Scheduling Gift In Kind (GIK) drop off appointments Receipting GIK donors Contacting ministries about picking up GIK’s from administrative building Scheduling donation drives Volunteers in this position are required to pass a background check and take a 3 hour class called VIRTUS. VIRTUS teaches adults the signs of child abuse and neglect as well as the best practices Catholic Charities follows to protect youth and vulnerable adults in our ministries.
