Coaching Corps of Fresno County

Description

Coaching Corps recruits motivated college students who are as passionate about kids as they are about sports. We provide them with comprehensive training and place them in after-school programs serving low-income communities -- where they’re needed most. To date, we’ve helped more than 650 college students discover the power of coaching.

Coaching Corps is a program of Team-Up for Youth, an organization that uses sports to change the lives of underprivileged kids. What children learn on a playing field from great coaches -- self-discipline, resolve, cooperation, courage -- helps them succeed in school, work and family life. Since our founding in 2002, Team-Up for Youth has trained over 1,800 coaches, sports programs leaders and staff, strengthened more than 150 community-based organizations, and made a positive impact in the lives of more than 70,000 kids.
