Description

Located in the rich historic community of Eastwood, Lantrip Elementary is off Lockwood and Mc Kinney, just minutes from Downtown. We are an Environmental Magnet School and also offer a Gifted/Talented and Vanguard neighborhood program. We have students enrolled from all throughout the Houston area. The school currently has 700 students and is housed with three science labs, two state of the art computer labs and an outdoor learning greenhouse. The school was recently named a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. We were one of only four schools in Houston I.S.D. to receive this honor last year. Recognized by the Texas Education Agency as an "Exemplary School" for the past three years, Lantrip is committed to maintaining a level of excellence while continuing to raise our standards yearly.
