Mission Statement

Autism. One in 110 individuals in our community is affected by this disorder which can impair communication skills, impair socialization skills and cause repetitive behaviors. The specific cause is not known. Nor is there a cure.

Autism Speaks is a registered 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization whose goals are to raise public awareness of autism, to raise money to fund biomedical research into the causes of autism, to advocate for more government funding of autism research and to provide information, resources and grants through our Family Services Department, so that one day we may solve the puzzle of this devastating disorder.
