Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To ensure that the arts are a fundamental part of the lives of all children through hands-on art experiences, arts training and curriculum for educators, and advocacy for the arts.
MOCHA provides hands-on arts learning experiences for children and their families in our museum, in schools and preschools, and in public venues. MOCHA also prepares educators to teach art and integrate arts learning across academic subject areas. As well, we advocate for the arts as an essential part of a strong, vital and diverse community. We emphasize outreach to children in low-income communities that do not typically have wide access to the arts.
MOCHA serves more than 30,000 children each year, in five program areas:
- Museum Programs
- Artists in the Schools
- Early Childhood Programs
- Professional Development Programs
- Community Programs
MOCHA 's work draws on research and best practices in the fields of the arts, education and youth development. We have been recognized both locally and nationally for our program excellence and have established a reputation for quality, sustainability and dedication. MOCHA's work is supported by generous funders in the Bay Area and beyond.
