Mission Statement

The Forum on Genetic Equity was created in February 2010 to advocate for laws addressing issues pertaining to consumer protection, patient privacy and genetic discrimination in American life. The Fund’s formation is informed by a series of public policy decisions, which have created the need for privacy and genetics watchdog.

Description

The Forum on Genetic Equity was formed in February of 2010 to advocate on behalf of persons with chronic illness and genetic disabilities by addressing issues pertaining to: consumer protection, individual privacy and genetic bias in American life. The Forum’s formation is informed by a series of public policy decisions, which has demonstrated the need for a privacy and genetics watchdog.

The work Steve is taking up is cutting edge. He is very willing to meet volunteers where they are at, and has a knack for finding ways to match their interests to the organization's needs. All in all, I would say that working with Steve was incredably rewarding.
