Mission Statement

The Athletic Society of America or (ASOA) is a non-profit organization whose goal is to help youth translate values and skills learned from playing sports and having fun into tools in their future endeavors.

The ASOA Organization is an athletic mentorship program, which is geared to help athletes of all backgrounds achieve their maximum potential not simply in sports but in life as well.

The ASOA holds youth camps to help young athletes understand the importance of education and being an active member of the community. We strive to teach our youth useful trade and job skills that can be utilized instantly for employment.

Description

The ASOA Foundation is here to help reduce anti-social behavior, drug and alcohol use, child abuse and any participation in violent activities. Our program works with parents to help educate their children on teen pregnancy. Our role is to help young people make responsible, appropriate, beneficial decisions, which will improve their quality of life.

The program seeks to provide positive adult role models, socialization activities and educational involvement. Enhancement activities emphasize the reduction and ultimately the prevention of substance use and abuse, smoking, unemployment, improper nutritional habits, aggressive behavior, truancy and dropping out of school.

We believe that by concentrating on the narrow period of decision making before these youths get into serious trouble; the process may yet be reversed. With our program, the vigor and energy so characteristic of these young people may be directed into useful, productive channels for the good of the children, their families, the city and ultimately the good of America.
