Mission Statement
The Tibet Poverty Alleviation Fund (TPAF) was established in 1997 to test and demonstrate practical ways to reduce poverty in rural Tibetan communities. The goal is to develop approaches that eventually can be replicated throughout all of Tibet. TPAF works with local Tibetan communities to implement programs in the areas of microfinance, vocational skills training, entrepreneurship development and women and child health programs.
Description
The candidate will be based in Lhasa and will make occasional trips to oversee program activities in Natchu and Lhoka Prefectures of Tibet. Role and Responsibilities: Ø Develop business processes to ensure effective program execution and documentation Ø Work with local program officers to measure and document the social return of proposed and ongoing program activities Ø Work with local program officers to oversee the implementation and successful execution of program activities Ø Work with President to develop reports on program activities for distribution to current and future donors
