Mission Statement

Stonewall National Museum and Archives promotes understanding through preserving and sharing the proud culture of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their significant role in American history

Description

Stonewall National Museum and Archives is the largest LGBTQ lending library and archives in the S.E. US and one of the largest of its kind, anywhere. We have over 28,000 titles, hundreds of DVDs and thousands of periodicals along with organizational and individual papers detailing the LGBTQ movement. Our newest addition of the Gallery on Wilton Drive began in June of 2014. The Gallery hosts 6-8 different exhibitions each year and see thousands of visitors.
