Mission Statement

CARE Partnership's Mission is to be Community Builders; to support all individuals in their quest to live healthier, happier and economically successful lives. CARE Partnership is based on a philosophy of obtaining social equity through community empowerment; individuals exchange volunteer time for services; and they are encouraged to develop skills to serve in leadership roles and as peer trainers.

Description

Education, Economic Development, Wellness & Leadership Development Children & Youth *Campfire Club's bi-monthly program provides environment education through games, crafts, discovery activities and projects. *CARE Partnership With Youth provides social activities and youth focused education, economic, emotional wellness and health support. Youth enrolled in the program have an opportunity to earn a stipend each week by performing service. *Dance - Saturday 9:00 a.m. *Flag Football - Monday and Tuesdays 4-6:00 p.m. *Homework Club, weekdays 3-6:00 p.m., Saturday 9-12:00 p.m., provides homework and school readiness help. *In the Streets with HACKER HOCKEY CLUB - last Saturday of the month 9:30-noon. *Kids that VOLUNTEER can attend Jr. Phoenix Suns Mercury Youth that Care sponsored basketball clinics and valley-wide friendship games. *KIDS that CARE, weekdays from 3-6:00 p.m., pre-school through teens, develops character and cultural appreciation through arts, games, sharing time and sports. *Media Arts Class - Wed. 4:30 p.m. *Volleyball Clinic - Saturdays 9:00 a.m. Intergenerational *America Reads - daily 3:00 p.m., mentors improve reading skills. *Area V *Community Garden of Pride - free garden space for individuals or groups. *Boxing Club - Registration required *Ceramic class - Sign-up NOW! *Color Purple Club - cultural exchange activities. *Community Service Site *Job Bank - match employment skills with needs. *Exchange Programs - volunteer time exchanged for clothing & household items (first Saturday of the month), food (daily), Halloween costumes, Emergency Santa Shop; services & special events (throughout the year). *Exercise -weekdays 9-10:00 a.m. *Friday Family Movies - 7:00 p.m. *Health Office - Pediatric & acute care for individuals without insurance. Health Assessment & Resource Fairs, education & referrals. *Library and Computer Lab - daily 9-8:00 p.m. Help is available for first time users; credit class registration. Games are available for on-site use. *Quilting class - Registration. *Service Learning Placement Site Adult *CPR "Friends & Family" mini-trainings *English as a Second Language -Mesa Community College credit class Wednesday & Friday 6-8:00 p.m. Non-credit classes-weekdays *English & Spanish Family Community Leadership Workshops are provided to groups of ten or more people to develop personal, family and leadership skills. *Madres de Mesa weekdays provides special interest workshops. *Young Father's Program 8 week sessions provide special interest workshops & employment training. *Community revitalization master planning.
