They help build families through their Adoption and Specialized Foster Care programs and strengthen familial relationships through it Counseling, Family Support, and Parent Education programs.

No matter where they are in the life cycle, all adults have the ability to reach their fullest potential and to realize life’s possibilities. For many of the adult clients at Family & Children’s Agency , this means dealing with complicated issues, such as addiction, mental illness, family dysfunction, and homelessness. To meet their specific needs, the Agency offers an addiction recovery program specifically for women, mental health counseling, and a continuum of services for homeless and formerly homeless adults.

Through our Home Care Services, Family & Children’s Agency offers seniors the ability to remain safe and independent in their homes. Its services, which range from having the security of a Personal Alert button to having a full-time, live-in home health aide, allow seniors to retain their safety and independence throughout the aging process.

Family & Children’s Agency has been serving the Greater Norwalk Community since 1942. In its early years, the Agency focused on counseling in response to the needs of women and families experiencing difficulties during World War II as they sought to cope with stress, separation, and loss. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest non-profit human service agencies in the area.
