Mission Statement

Guardian Angel Animal Rescue (GAAR) is a no kill, not for profit rescue dedicated to the welfare of abused, neglected, and disabled animals. We are a community of volunteers in Southeastern Michigan that have the goal of temporarily sheltering each animal in our houses until a responsible, loving, and permanent home is found.

Description

GAAR accepts animals of any age or condition. Primarily a cat and dog rescue, these unwanted pets stay with us for as long as it takes to find an adopter. GAAR is firmly against euthanasia as a means of reducing unwanted animals. Both volunteers and pets come to us for that very same reason.
We desperately need foster parents who share the same vision and heart as we do for both dogs and cats. We also are seeking other types of volunteers.
