Mission Statement

Consumers Self Help Center is a consumer run agency providing advocacy, peer support and education for individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. The mission of CSHC is to develop and implement consumer driven programs and services based on the self help philosophy and provide culturally competent and integrated co-occuring mental health and substance abuse services that support participants in a strength based process of wellness and recovery based on empowerment, self-responsibility and integration into the community.

Description

Consumers Self Help Center currently operates two Wellness and Recovery Centers in Sacramento County which provide integrated mental health services and peer support in combination with supportive groups and activities (open to the community). Consumers Self Help Center also provides Patients' Rights Advocacy in accordance with California Welfare and Institutions code for Sacramento and Yolo County.
