Mission Statement
The Kentucky Council of the Blind strives to improve education, employment and peer support opportunities for blind and visually impaired Kentuckians.
Description
The Kentucky Council of the Blind is the leading organization of blind and visually impaired people in the Commonwealth. KCB and its chapters provide education, advocacy, information and referral services through conferences, special meetings and programs, and a variety of local activities and events.
Parents of blind children, visually impaired college students, senior citizens who are just losing their sight, and others who have vision loss learn abut new products designed for the blind, daily issues facing people who are blind, job opportunities, and educational and leisure programs and events through KCB's email lists, website, newsletter, and weekly hour-long radio talk show.
