Mission Statement

The Wayne County Rural Health Network provides a forum for exchange of information between agencies and /or individuals identifying emrging and unmet County Health needs. This Network will advocate and collaborate with various members of the community to ensure that resources and services are in place to meet health and human service needs. (12-6-98)

Description

Current initiatives are to increase dental services to uninsured, increase medical workers through scholarships, increase mental health and substance abuse services, increase medical transportation services and increase the level of emergency medical services available in the county. Also provide assist to the women's health partnership and local victim assault service.
