Mission Statement

Streetlights' mission is to promote ethnic diversity in the Entertainment Industry while creating viable careers for economically and socially at-risk ethnic minority individuals from disenfranchised areas of Los Angeles. Many have significant barriers to traditional employment such as receiving welfare, being homeless or terming out of foster care. Though motivated and capable, they may not have a solid educational base (possessing no GED or high school diploma), or are without extensive work histories and therefore have little hope of attaining economic stability for themselves or their children.
