Mission Statement
Southwest Youth and Family Services is a local human services agency serving the West Seattle and South King County communities through family support, education, youth development and behavioral health programs. Our programs include early childhood learning, after school tutoring, teen violence prevention, immigrant resources, counseling services in multiple languages and more. Working primarily with immigrant families, people of color and those living in poverty, SWYFS's mission is to partner with youth and families to transform their futures.
Description
Southwest Youth and Family Services is a local human services agency focused on addressing social justice issues and creating equity for our most vulnerable neighbors. Our staff of over 75 reflects the community we serve in that 70% of our staff are people of color, speak at least 10 languages, and many live in the neighborhoods that we serve. As an organization working on social justice at the grassroots level, SWYFS is a vital component in our efforts to strengthen the community as a whole.
