Mission Statement

The Crime Stoppers program is designed to obtain information from anonymous sources which have knowledge regarding felony crimes and fugitive felon, but those sources are reluctant for whatever reason to come forward. Crime Stoppers offers these sources complete anonymity and a financial reward for the information they provide, information that would otherwise not be available to detectives/investigators at the local, state, and national level.

Description

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is a non-profit, 501(c)3 corporate chartered under Ohio law. Crime Stoppers is the link between law enforcement, the media, and most importantly, the public. Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is overseen by a Board of Directors that is a collaboration of community members. The Board of Directors sets policy which creates and controls the program, raises funds to pay rewards and cover administrative costs, and determines the amounts and methods of reward payments.
