To preserve and restore natural areas and open spaces for the educational, recreational and envionmental benefits of present and future generations

Description

The McHenry County Conservation District was formed to provide educational and recreational opportunities on open space within the county. From school programs to land restoration work, from summer camps to monitoring plants and animals, from special interest programs to outdoor recreation to a large historical event every October, MCCD serves both county residents and out of county visitors.
