STAR Council on Substance Abuse

Description

STAR Council staff provides awareness and knowledge of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use, additions and HIV infection and their harmful effects on individuals, families and communities. STAR Council has a lending library including current videos, books, and literature. Substance abuse and health brochures are available at no charge. Alcohol Awareness classes and Tobacco Cessation Programs are available. A toll free crisis intervention and information line is available 24 hours a day; 7 days a week. STAR Council is licensed to provide substance abuse treatment on an outpatient basis. STAR Council provides youth prevention classes in over 20 school districts as well as providing presentations to students, faculty and staff in our counties on prevention.
