Refugees have traveled a long hard road just to get to this country. Most have suffered religious or ethnic persecution, war and years of minimal shelter and sustenance. A single hope drives them: the opportunity to start again, to become a new American. "USA means you start again."*

Lutheran Social Services (LSS) works to integrate refugee families into New Hampshire communities. We help these new arrivals to adjust to their surroundings and become productive members of their society.
