Mission Statement

Pioneering Character and Technology Education Through Service Learning

Description

The WTA operates a statewide computer re-use program. We pick up quality surplus computers from generous corporations and government agencies and place then into needy schools and families. Our volunteers pickup, refurbish, deliver, and train low-income recipients of computers. Others are shipped to schools where students refurbish and place them. Students in our project-based multimedia program produce web sites for organizations in their local community. From these programs has emerged a statewide student-based technology company called "WildTech Student Enterprises". The program begins by training teachers in project-based technology curriculum, procedures, and how to act as entrepreneurs leading self-sustaining student-based technology enterprises in their schools.
