Mission Statement

The Lake County Discovery Museum collects, preserves, interprets, and presents the history and culture of Lake Countyin an enjoyable learning environment. Through the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, we provide access to the world's largest public collection of postcards.

Description

The Lake County Discovery Museum has three permanent exhibits; the Vortex Roller Coaster Theater, The Mall of History, Bringing the World Home, as well as a changing local artist gallery and special exhibition gallery.

The Lake County Discovery Museum is a very neat museum located on the Lakewood Forest Preserve.
