Mission Statement
The San Francisco Senior Center is a private, non-profit, multi-purpose human service agency serving people 60 years and older, their families, and other caregivers by offering a variety of programs and services.
Description
San Francisco Senior Centers offer case management, information and referrals, and overall client development including coordination of services. The Social Workers at both branches coordinate services and assistance available to meet San Francisco Senior Center participants' needs including individual counseling, in-home visits and assessments, crisis intervention, planning and maintaining outreach services, assisting seniors with filling out applications for services for which they are eligible and attempting to help seniors remain in their homes for as long as possible. Social workers also meet with family members and caregivers when necessary.
